SP 18 - Blizzard on the D&S (video)

Here's a short video I put together of Southern Pacific 4-6-0 #18 in operation during the Winter Photographer's Weekend on the Durango & Silverton. The first 4 clips are from Monday February 18th, while the last runby was recorded on Saturday the 16th. I had a ticket to ride behind SP 18 on Monday but decided to chase instead after seeing the #476 and the flanger leave town ahead of the 18. After speaking to the conductor and confirming I could board at Rockwood, I drove north and caught up with #476 just outside of town. I then chased #476 to the Shalona crossing before heading back to Hermosa. SP 18 was getting ready to leave when I arrived and the snow was falling pretty heavily as #18 climbed the 2.5% grade to Rockwood. The snow continued all day, and it was a near whiteout as #18 made it's way back down the valley after a handful of runby's on the highline.
