From the D&S web site. Its unclear if the railroad will run at all this weekend. The coming weather in Durango looks clear and dry with temps in the 40s so maybe the slide danger will be less. On the ground there is a very precise trench (perhaps the ballast regulator...if that's the right word). Anyway the trench made it about a mile out of town on Saturday and has not advanced since then. I haven't heard any whistles so I don't think any train has been out. I live about a half mile from the 32nd St crossing so I can usually hear any whistles.
