Hank, I know a very prominent railroad photographer who often sleeps in his car. Some can sleep with a construction crew working right outside their door. To each his own, I guess. I can't do either. QUIET is very important to me. Charters often start very early, often requiring a 4AM get-up. They also have a tendency to finish late. I like having a microwave and fridge in my room so I can eat anytime. I can have healthy food, I don't have to wait for a wait staff, and I'm not searching for a restaurant that is open. And after a long, cold day on a winter charter, a nice, hot bath is also a great thing. You don't pay much more for those amenities. Life is too short for indoor camping.

If that's all your bathroom was lacking, you were fortunate. On my last stay in Antonito, I needed to hold a flashlight in my teeth to use mine.
