During the winter of 1932, one of the worst on the narrow gauge, eastbound rotary OY, along with the eastbound passenger train became snowbound near MP 321, about a mile west of the Cascade Creek trestle. The rescue involved both rotary OM and ON (from Salida). The section cars and other supply cars operated as a separate train pulled by 174 and 478. In going through the Cumbres train registers for the 1930's (these can be examined at the Colorado Railroad Museum Library) this in the only instance of a T-12 arriving at Cumbres that I have found for that time period.
