I've seen timetables and such from the first few years of D&RGW operation over the Moffat & the Dotsero Cutoff that refer to the new routing as the "James Peak Route" (for those not up on the local geography, James Peak is what the Moffat Tunnel is mostly drilled under.) I've not seen any evidence that this slogan ever appeared on a herald and it seems to have been dumped in favor of the "Moffat Tunnel Route" early on in the receivership that started in November of '35, so it lasted less than 2 years. Just a fun bit of trivia.

ps wonder if it might have stayed the James Peak Route if the D&RGW had *not* gone into receivership?
