There is very heavy damage to 483. The cab is severely damaged.
John West posted a photo of 483 in Alamosa about 2 years later. (Sept 1960)

It appears that the repairs to her were nearly complete and she had a new cab manufactured for her.

I had wondered if perhaps 490's cab had been fitted to 483, but John has a 1964 photo of 490 in 1964 with her cab intact, so that was not the case.
