Larry's photos of #18, which I always stopped to admire when passing through Independence every few years for more than five decades, are much appreciated — at least by me. See [ngdiscussion.net], above.

After 'rehunn' praised Larry's photos for being "correctly exposed" and I concurred, I received a private message declaring Larry's shots to be "Washed out, drab photos". I was also told "the D&S and C&TS guys think you are a clown", which of course I took as a compliment since IMHO there's way too much grim news in the world these days and our hobby should provide some relief and enjoyment. And what did he expect from a guy known as
'Roosso Loco' anyway?
And I too enjoy the hijackings – at least most of them – as one post will remind somebody of an obscure fact only distantly related, and off we go to learn something entirely unexpected. I do agree with John West, though, that when you change the subject you should also change the 'Subject
:' line.
