There's similarity but these machines are even smaller. The road that bought them must have been either laid with very light or lightly-backed rails or had a very soft roadbed. By the time these engines were built just about everyone but Porter had given up on the 2-4-0 arrangement for mainline running. Porter resolutely stuck with it in defiance of all industry norms. Porter also stuck with the 0-6-0 for mainline freight haulage longer than about anyone else did. I have a certain level of admiration for Porter products of that era; they nearly always have a thoughtful, "form follows function" sort of layout and appearance.

I believe this machine has some family ties, if you want to call it that, to the Cedar Point amusement park operation, although it never operated there.
