Chama Night Watchman's Shack.

Apparently, the NWS is not available for rent this year, and won't be any time in the foreseeable future. FYI.

"FYI, the Night Watchman's shack, which is spartan at best, is -sometimes- available for rent, short or long term. It has the basic necessities (people have lived in it before), and the rent is -very- cheap, compared to the local motels (year before last, $300 a month). It has to be checked each spring, but could be worth inquiries (to the Friends) if you're on a budget, or fancy staying right in the yard.

WARNING- the Friends paint car is parked, static, on the track right in front of the door, so that's the only view you get from inside. :-) And you have to park in the main lot (50 yards), which is perfectly safe."
