Drone footage is the Northern Explorer train, runs between Auckland & Wellington in the North Island. Also long distance Commuter trains operate between Masterton & Wellington (you get to ride through the Rimutaka Tunnel 5.5 miles long) on that one and between Palmerston Nth & Wellington which also has the longest double track tunnel here at 2.7 miles.

In the South Island there is the Coastal Pacific running between Picton & Christchurch and then there is the TranzAlpine running between Greymouth & Christchurch.

Here's a cool fact, if you took all of the railway tunnels in NZ and laid them end to end on the Cumbres & Toltec then you would be in darkness from Dalton road crossing to the wooden Trestle before Antonito.
