I first rode behind the 425 when it was part of Andy Muller's Blue Mountain & Reading. He used to hold railfan weekends where the 425 and his Reading T-1
would run trips between Temple and S. Hamburg, sometime at speeds up to 55 mph. It was epic! I have slides from those weekends in 1986 and '87. IFRC,
the PRR E8's were there as well
The BM&R events were well organized and yes, the 425 is a loud locomotive.
