Just thought some of you might be able to point me in the right direction in regards to the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad Golden Spike Ceremony. I understand the U.P.'s Big Boy will be in Ogden at the same time. I'd like to be involved in some part of the event that includes re-enactors at the site. Maybe someone or some group is staging a recreated photo of the locomotives facing each other and the spikes being driven. I think it would be a fun activity to be a part of. Even if I'm just standing in period costume holding a shovel! Anyway if any of you can point me in the right direction toward re-enactment groups or anyone arranging a performance of some kind, I would love to be involved. I appreciate your suggestions if you have any contacts or ideas to pursue. How often does this happen?
Regards,
Jake Johnson
