...and yep that's me and Don Chakerian leaning out of the baggage car door as Al Shelton tears a big hole in the atmosphere with the exhaust of that big 90 ton former Feather River Shay on the Sierra RR. That engine was a scary monster to be around. It sounded like a loud, demented jet engine. It hurt your ears. I loved it. Al still has tinnitus from running her.

The shot of me on the SG at RC in 1990 is indeed rare as I did that only once or twice.
