I was stationed in Yokosuka from 1957 to 1959 and did a lot of walking on the weekends to shoot the railroads. The engines were always quite clean and a joy to watch. Military guys were not allowed to go into the yards so I had to get what I could from the streets. I would take a bus or train ride out of the city and walk to get the shots that I did. I shot a lot of Agfachrome but almost all of the slide holders have come apart and I don't think I have time left to remount them!
