The mid-August re-opening confirms my memory of meeting Ernie Robart and Olaf Rasmussen at the "S Curves" on the occasion of the first subsequent freight eastbound out of Chama – probably a "Cumbres Turn" – a few days after the repair, and that the weeds had had plenty of time to overwhelm the D&RGW track at that location.
