After hiking the upper part of the incline, I followed the spur back to my truck and headed down the incline. I then followed the 1918-1920 mainline grade back towards the highway and Sugar Pine.
Here's another picture of part of the spur I hiked:
We're looking back towards the incline which is about 200 feet away. Behind me the spur enters an area where bulldozer activity has obliterated it (I think the bulldozers were used in the Railroad Fire).
Here's a photo at the bottom of the incline looking west towards 1919 Camp:
The incline is directly behind me.
There's not much I've found at this camp: some wire rope & barrel hoops, plus a small can dump (no photos).
Now were heading north on the 1919-20 mainline. Here's a nice cut:
The railroad has another nice cut at it skirts the lower end of Long Meadow:
I'll bet this took a few days to get through...
There's supposed to be a spur heading off to the right (east) around here, but I have yet to find it...
