Get used to it. I'm not a member of the millennial generation but I've been there too. When I was in my 20's I tried to volunteer at a local group....the sea of grey heads said thanks but no thanks, they weren't looking for "kids." Keep in mind they were saying that to an independent, married homeowner. Funny stuff. Surprise, surprise--that particular group is now defunct. Years later and with some grey hairs of my own poking through I don't run into that sort of trouble anymore, but because of children/other responsibilities I don't have the time or inclination to volunteer anymore either. The groups that embrace the next generation will survive....those who circle the wagons will die off. That's how it goes.
