Thanks for the kind words, gents. Unfortunately, I probably won't have much free time until the Christmas break, because this term is filled with events which make extensive use of the university archives where I work. But, a few more, just to keep everything rolling.

D&RGW 315 and crew. The 'little engine that could.' Posed on the wye at Big Horn, after Train 216 went by, and before we headed for Antonito. Originally the plan had been for 453 to be the major power for the final day, and 315 to be used for some scenes as a helper. But owing to 453 developing a problem the shop could not complete repairs on over night, the October 1 train featured 315 from Cumbres Pass to Antonito, representing an RGS freight with leased D&RGW power.


The weather gradually got more overcast throughout October 1, but the early part of the day featured a fair degree of sunshine.
