Here's the final installment for the incline:
What appears to be a kerosene can in the debris field:
At this point I decided to hike out. As I started down the incline I veered to the left (West) and suddenly found what appeared to be a railroad grade running along the hillside:
This grade is not on any map. It quickly became too brushy to follow, but as I traversed down the mountainside I could see that it probably wasn't much more than 500 feet long.
On the way out I spotted this baby conifer:
It's the only one I've seen yet. Nature will heal itself...
After being up on the incline for about 2.5 hours, I finally can see my truck where I left it:
A totally fun experience!
It was about 12 noon when I got back. The day is still young. Next I decided to hunt down an intriguing photo location:
