Linn's recent post of lowering the RGS 20 frame onto the driving boxes made me think about the stage that I'm at with my K-27 project. This evening I finished up the last piece of the equalization system and lowered the frame onto the drivers (I cheated and flipped the frame and dropped the drivers in one at a time). The equalization system required the fabrication of 262 individual pieces which I thought would never end. Hopefully the brake system will go a little quicker! Here are a couple of shots of the progress to date. If you are interested in all of the pieces that were made, the following link covers it.
I'll be heading up to Chama soon to visit the prototype to keep me motivated on the project.
