4449 NNG

Just thought some of you western guys might like to see the SP 4449 from 1977. This was the start of the return to Portland. It was a 3 day trip from Miami to Birmingham, AL, with overnight stops in Sanford, FL, and Thomasville, GA. This was shot somewhere on the third day(Best lighting). Cold weather for this far south(Note steam exhaust). My buddy flew to Florida to ride with my dad and I, and when he got home to Cincy it was -24!!! Anyway my dad rode the last two days, as he didn't care for our 80mph driving. 4449 was doing 75mph for 45 miles and we were the only car. Pretty cool experience. Not that fast though on this picture. I got tired of cleaning the specs off the image, so as is!!!
