Which I agree seems way too modern for a typical western, but the "Progress" depot was built in September, 1968, for the filming of 'The Good Guys and the Bad Guys', which includes an automobile chase scene near the end and so is set at least a couple of years after the Turn of the Century in 1900.  IIRC, 'Shootout' was filmed on the C&TS roughly three years later, and per Rich Braden (employee2 here on the NGDF) it brought in enough money to keep the struggling railroad alive through the winter.  'Bite the Bullet' was also filmed on the C&TS, but not until 1975.
