OurayCounty (Ridgway) RR Days late Sept schedule

Ouray County railroad Days (our annual railroad history weekend is coming up on Sept. 27 - 30. Visit our website at ridgway railroad museum website. Here's the quick schedule:

Thursday, Sept. 27: Guided hike along Silverton RR route from top of Red Mountain Pass to GustonTownsite. Meet at Corkscrew Jeep trailhead at 9 am.

Friday, Sept. 28: Guided hike along Silverton RR route from Guston townsite to end of track at Albany millsite, including Guston depot and Corkscrew Turntable, 9 am , same meeting place.

Saturday, Sept. 29: Model railroad visit, 9 am - noon, a 30' by 40' layout based on the RGS and D&RGW

Open house at the new location at 200 N. Railroad st., with rides on RGS Motor 1, 9 am - 5 pm. Old location (inside exhibits) also open these hours.

Auto caravan tour of the D&RG Ouray Branch route from Colona to Ouray, from the new location, leaves 1:30 pm, back at 4 pm.

Evening program, town hall 7 pm, topic TBA

Sunday, Sept 30: Auto caravan tour of the RGS route, Ridgway to Lizard Head, leaves 9:30 am, back at 4 pm, bring a lunch
