Beautiful, John -
Along with your Antonito triptych of the two-engine freight carrying the Deeres to Durango, it's one of my favorites.
I have an extra-wide hi-res monitor, so it displays almost full size for me.
What's the resolution of your original scan? Would a 12" x 48" print be possible??

Peyton & John, et al -
There was a westbound freight in late August, 1967, that was less than half as long – IIRC barely heavy enough to require moving the helper from the front to the middle of the train during the fuel & water stop at Antonito (see photos on [
ngdiscussion.net]). I'm not sure about the two June, 1968 trains, but the 'Mad Dash' on May 28 and the westbound freights on July 17 and August 28 were short enough (or light enough) that they were all run as double-headers. (For photos see the threads starting at [
ngdiscussion.net] and [
ngdiscussion.net], and the posts at [
ngdiscussion.net] et seq.)
