First of all I love all the pictures especially for the setting as this is the location my then three year old son, last August, was introduced to the fantastic world of steam and narrow gauge (boy did he enjoy 111)!
However, the first picture is my favorite because of an anomaly that stirs a true heart felt emotion for me. As I do not live close to steam railroads or even live narrow gauge, the emotional feelings I always get when I can see the smoke filtering through the trees and rising above them. Usually before I hear the continuous heart beat of the locomotive. I experience this from the hiway above the narrows, standing on the 550 before the bridge and pulling into Silver Plume. For me this is emotional and as this thread loaded the first time and sence, I feel this as I scroll down before #9 comes into view.
Thank you all for the great pictures!!
