Re: Bell at Cumbres?

Thanks Jimmy. I remember that but I was wondering if somebody had run across anything specific about such an annunciator. The Big Horn "bell" seems to have had a lot of press, but what you found on the dispatcher sheets is the closest to firm evidence I have heard regarding anything at Cumbres. One of the interesting things about the Cumbres location is it was away from the telegraph line, which if I remember correctly shortcut up the draw on a more or less direct line from the Coxo phone booth to the Cumbres depot. So why would they put the circuit in out on Windy Point and not closer to the station. The alternative to such a bell would be simply a phone call from the conductor. Just trying to keep the subject alive.
