Hello again -
East of Arboles a portion of the line was relocated in the early 1960's to accomodate the new Navajo Reservoir. The east end of the relocation, paralleled by a wide gravel road, is just a couple of miles west of Gato (aka Pagosa Junction)

Fourteen boxcars of lumber from the Weidman Sawmill in Durango had been brought to Gato by #498 a day or two previously; they were added to the eastbound train on the 28th and taken along to Chama.
