I am watching the news about the tracking of Hurricane Lane, which is going to affect all of the Hawaiian islands. Oahu is likely to have a large effect, but the leeward side of Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai all could be affected. I sincerely hope it is not not too bad in measures of tropical storm conditions, and that the possible tornadoes and hurricane eye are all offshore. May all of the railways and rail preservation projects (mostly narrow gauge) on the islands survive Lane with calmer conditions and good preparations!
