D&RGW #207

The various photos of number 207 on the Chili Line (Otowi & Chama River bridge) made me curious about this little C-16.

Has anyone explored her history?

Most of the photos I’ve seen are ‘less than optimal’ so I checked the Friends photo collection to see if they had any nicer shots. I was thrilled to find clear photos of both the engineer’s side and the fireman’s side, but they are undated. Does anyone know when they were taken?

I also found a nice clear photo of her tender in the scrap line. Did she have her tender swapped? Or was it pulled out of the scrap line and refurbished?

Did she wear a box headlight until she was scrapped?

What else do you know about her?
