After researching the Southern Iron builder's list, I found 5 possible railroads that may have the name of this loco. I am listing the order number and the information as shown in the Southern order book:
#532 - BS&NW #1, but also a hand written note says BN&SW #1, Palestine, TX 1907
#725 - Hilgard Lumber Co, Vaughn, NC (Fosburgh Lumber Co placed the order), 1910 3 ft gauge
#770 - Southport Lumber Co #2. (order placed by Scott-Lambert Lumber Co, Climax #475) 1903
#807 - Joseph Bowen, West Pulp & Papaer Co #1, 1912
#883 - Andrews Lumber Co, Andrews, NC, Climax # 914, 1909
The note on the back of the photo just says "built in Corby, PA. Rebuilt by Atlanta Car & Foundry Co"
Anyone recognize this Climax?
Thanks,
