Jerry's pix of the work on the wye at Rockwood got me to thinking about some pix I have of that and the wye at Elk Park. The first is a picture of yours truly at the Rockwood wye in 1960, probably taken by Gordon Chappell. Boy Rockwood has sure changed! I guess I have as well.
Next is a picture of the wye at Elk Park "back in the day". Gordon and I hiked in from Silverton specifically for that picture in July 1963. Sorry about the high midday sun but that is when the train came.
And finally a couple of years ago I tried to duplicate the 1963 shot, close but I got the angle wrong. And again that darn midday sun.
When was the stub switch at Elk Park replaced?
