There was a time that 5 trains a day ran out of Durango. A Cascade Canyon train was the fifth train. It ran in the afternoon after the first train returned from Silverton. That train was turned and serviced then headed for Cascade. It could be it is time to resurrect that practice. Although I don’t like the thought that this type of service might take away from the regular service to Silverton as well as the revenue for Silverton businesses.
