I won't get into details, but safe to say 1203 was a work in progress when it left the factory in 1946, not much has changed since then. It has the potential to be a great locomotive. It won't outpull a K-36, but its the only diesel that can handle a train of any sorts to Silverton and back without burning something up (once all her long standing bugs get worked out). With a proper electrical system installed, and a nice freshly rebuilt ALCO 251B, she will be quite an engine. Personally, I'd pay to ride behind her.....but I have a bit of a soft spot for the thing. She is in a better place now (mainly because I don't have to fix it anymore)
