The 473's 3-chime is a very unique whistle. It is known to have been on 480 back in the early 1960's and was installed on 478 when 480 was retired in 1964 or so. 478 carried it until the early 2000's when it was put on 473. To my knowledge has no identifying marks on it. A very similar whistle was seen on 318 and 340 when they were on the Ouray Branch in the early 1950's.
