I come here for the trains, the rest is irrelevant but unfortunately a reflection of our society.

That being said, the idea of a false coal load on 493 is okay in my view, if it has to be converted to oil. I remember seeing an incarnation of the 'General' back in the early '60s that had a false wood load in the tender. Is this relevant to the subject of the thread? No, but its about trains.
