If I recall correctly there is a width difference, the current C&TS cars are about 1 foot wider than the historic. This allows 2+2 seating versus 2+1. They look good and are more practical.
Also if I recall (in both cases here, somewhat questionable) in response to the OP's question,the WP&Y had authentic "look" coaches built a while back.
