Glad to see them protected as best as possible considering they are vulnerable to theft/vandalism.

The first pic does a great job of show the stack sprayer piping. I remember riding behind the 480 back in July 2012 and was impressed with the amount of water that is sprayed out from the ring. While it's possible an errant hot cinder started the fire, it's hard to imagine considering the effectiveness of the sprayer and the amount of 'rain' falling on the first 2-3 cars behind the engine. I am curious as to how the water is pushed up to the sprayer - my guess is a valve that is tapped into the boiler below the water line but that would result in the water flashing to steam as soon as it exists the sprayer holes.. so maybe the water is sourced from one of the injectors?
