I had to get a bit of fresh air, the smoke is so bad it is hard to breathe at times. The helicopter pilot who wants my photos for their office is already back in Montana. He said they were restricted to 10 days.
The fire is about one mile directly behind my home. The did a back burn tonight to keep it from coming down onto County Road 203 (the old road to Silverton), that is the road to my home and is now the only exit out from my neighborhood. They could not use the tanker planes as the smoke is so bad. I went to Farmington this afternoon to get away from the smoke for a few hours. You can see the smoke in the parking lot of the Olive Garden, 55 miles away.
