My apologies to all concerned -

One of Ernie's photos that I neglected to post previously is one that he took of our good friend and fellow railfan Olaf Rasmussen at the tender age of 25 standing near the top of the ridge that I suggested earlier be named in Ernie's honor.  Having just re-watched the "Final Freights" section of TRAINS magazine's excellent new video 'Rio Grande Narrow Gauge Freight Trains', which features several minutes of Olaf's movies of the very last Rio Grande freights over Cumbres Pass exactly three months after the 'Mad Dash', I'm having second thoughts, and now feel that the location shown on the above map as "Robart's Ridge" should be renamed, and henceforth identified as "Olaf's Overlook" instead, and that the edge of the mesa overlooking Ferguson's (aka Hangman's) Trestle be named "Ernie's Escarpment" (see the first three photos on [ngdiscussion.net], above).  Here's Ernie's photo of Olaf taken May 28, 1968, and another of Ernie's b&w shots from that location to illustrate the views that Olaf caught on color film of the very last revenue freights on August 28 & 29:
