The light is fading fast -
On this Memorial Day afternoon, and on a Tuesday evening along the Narrow Gauge fifty years ago as helper #476 follows her train into Gato

It was very late in the day as the locomotives were shuffled around in Gato, with #476 eventually coupled to the front of the train to help #478 with her short but heavy load of drill pipe up the relocated grade into Arboles

I'm amazed that these last two photos of the 'Mad Dash' departing Gato at twilight came out at all!
