Hello once more -
The San Juan Extension separates from the remainder of the line to Santa Fe at the wye on the south side of Antonito, and heads southwest toward Lava for the next ten miles or so. Ernie knows all the roads and ruts anywhere near the railroad, and followed one of them along the tracks and then climbed to the edge of the mesa to the west near Ferguson's (aka Hangman's) Trestle, where he caught this long view of the little train with the Perlite plant in the background at the upper right
