Actually, the C&TS didn't start at all until September of 1970 and didn't start service (if we ignore the "Governor's Special" of October 1970) until the 1971 season.
Since the D&RGW quit in December of 1968, the term for the 20-month gap from December of '68 to September of '70 would be Abandoned Railroad.
