John,

Giving Greg's shots some more attention, the ~~caboose~~ (edit) last visible car in his first frame is just about where you took your photos from. The engine in his last frame is at MP 317.5 and is right where the photo lines stand to shoot the train coming around the rock wall at MP 317.2.
