Greg, I don't remember any logging trucks but I have a vague memory of a bridge at Osier where the ford is now. We hiked down the railroad and the first picture was taken from about the same point on the railroad as the second. I have thought about crossing the river and trying to hike eastward but the maps all suggest a rugged hike on the south side of the canyon.
