The depot will remain where it is, about 200 feet or so southeast of the original location (actually it's just across the street and a bit south). The original location is now the town hall and its adjacent parking lot. The ranch history museum is already in the depot, and will be open this summer Friday - Monday, usually 10 am - 3 pm. When they build their own building on the property several years from now, the railroad museum will move its inside exhibits and archives into the depot.

Goose 4 will remain on display in Telluride (it belongs to the fire department), but there is a very good chance that it will come down occasionally and operate on our track once we get everything done. Who knows, maybe in a couple of years we can get Goose 5 to join us for a mini-Goose Gathering. Way too early to plan something like that, though, first we have to finish building a railroad. We will keep everyone informed. We currently have about 800 feet of track completed, we hope to get about 1500 more feet completed during our upcoming work week June 4 - 8 (we have a pneumatic spike driver). Anyone who would like to help will be welcomed, we provide free lunches. Weather and energy permitting, we hope to complete the 2700-foot loop this year. Moving the train shed should start very soon, the contractor is just waiting on getting a man lift to remove the roof, as of right now none are available within 500 miles. As soon as one becomes available, that project will start.
