We had some very light rain today and there is new snow on the peaks up towards Animas Forks, but nothing substantial. There is a major regional governmental meeting Monday on the situation as local towns and counties start coming together on how to handle the upcoming situation along with the Forest Service. Silverton is already talking about water rationing and the fireworks at 4th of July are a pending concern, but right now there is no local water shortage and the town has been busy washing down the streets. The Aspens are starting to leaf out and that's a good 2 to 3 weeks early.
