I think it is going to be a hard summer for both railroads. The D&S brought the two water tank cars into Durango from Rockwood yesterday on the 473 test-work train. I assume they are filling them as they were empty during the winter. The D&S also has the ex-Uintah water car 0470 that was rebuild and restored. It was painted and lettered D&RGW for a photo charter. It can be used as a water car for fire fighting.
