Book Signing for Beebe & Clegg: Their Enduring Photographic Legacy

Beebe and Clegg: Their Enduring Photographic Legacy, a new 224-page book from the Center for Railroad Photography and Art, offers insights about their rich visual coverage of Colorado railroads. The authors, John Gruber and John Ryan assisted by Mel Patrick, are signing books on Tuesday, May 15, 1-2 p.m. at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden.

The photographs in the book include impressive views of main line steam trains at tunnel 1 west of Denver at the entrance to Coal Creek Canyon via Highway 72 and wide ranging coverage of narrow gauge trains in the Durango area. Colorado Railroad Museum’s superstar, no. 346, is shown outside the Durango roundhouse. The Rio Grande Southern photos include a luxury tour with gourmet food and vintage wines in narrow gauge business cars in 1946, with daily reports in the Rocky Mountain News.
