I have a very similar picture in my files taken soon after the rails were pulled up. Notice the Goose is sitting in the dirt. That's because it was delivered on a flatbed semi truck from Coke Ovens north of Rico. The scrappers had begun pulling rails at that point several days before Goose #5 came down from Ridgway. Anyway, it was unloaded from the truck directly onto the dirt where we see it in the picture. Here is an article from the Dolores Star describing the delivery. (Sorry the print is so fuzzy.)
