I must be lucky -
I've been taking photos along the D&RGW/C&TS since 1960 – from Ferguson's Trestle (once near midnight) and The Whiplash through Big Horn (twice near sunset) to Sublette, Los Pinos, Coxo, Cresco & Lobato – and I've never seen even one of the above-mentioned critturs. That doesn't mean they're not there — more likely my propensity to rehearse 'The Ballad of Festus Frothjaw' for the next Karaoke night in Mancos scares them away
